This is exactly how I’ve dreamed of my house front looking! I’m printing it for inspiration. What are the flowers? I’m sending all best thoughts toward your heading home soon. Though, as you know, life in California is not safe or free or easy.

    • Hi Gretchen! Great to hear from you. My instant thought was that it’s what I’ve learned to call “Trumpet Vine,” and from some photo searches I’m right — seems the scientific name is campsis radicans.

There is also a lovely orange hanging vine-like flower that I grew from seeds once, when I had a container garden on a rooftop in Brooklyn back in the days of Bush I & Clinton… The common name of that lovely flower was hanging black-eyed susan, while its scientific name was, I believe, thunbergia.

Happy gardening – and hugs, peace, health, compassion and justice 🙂
