Oh I love these games that our eyes and minds play, Maria. When I first visited Amsterdam, I found myself surprised by how many places boasted signs saying “te huur,” and quite confounded about what it might mean. Only later did I learn it means the exact same thing as “to let”…not any other silly notionns that might have popped into my addled mind. 🙂
(so much world, so little time....) 
Yeah, I somehow cannot learn not to see that as toilet, and I’ve been at this travel game since the 70s.
