Thanks, Diane :-). I guess it is probably reasonable to assume this is a tree that burned in the bad fires last year, fell into a river and became driftwood…but it could have been longer ago, or potentially even a beach fire although that seems quite unlikely. Hugs and hope you’re well!
When I first looked at this picture on my phone, I thought it was a dead otter … it is awful enough without that! (The burn, the photo isn’t awful)
