Paul Here in the US we are celebrating Thanksgiving. Don’t know if The Netherlands has an equivalent. We keep it low-key at our house and it is a lovely pause before the madness of American Christmas. I especially enjoyed your recent DC photos. In days of yore I visited there often but never thought to look at the gardens around the Castle. Next time! You were there before the East Wing was blown up. The remodel had better be pretty spectacular.
There’s a room in our house where Tim and I often eat dinner because it is quiet and secluded. That room also holds my desk and a second sitting area and the dining room buffet that didn’t fit anywhere else but is useful/elegant storage. Over a year ago we decided to call it the North Room–not as grand as the East Room in the White House but it does face North!
(so much world, so little time....)
