Fear not, we’ll soon be showing more mountain photos from ground level, but this is my way of saying – for those who can recognize the uniquely California landmark in the bottom right corner of these photos — that I’m back in California as of shorty before I took this photo at about 1:59 Friday afternoon, California time. The hint is that our flight path took us directly over Yosemite, and the Yosemite Valley. 🙂
The Santa Cruise on Geneva Lake at Williams Bay, in Walworth County, Wisconsin, includes a special visit to this secret lakeside Santa office, where he read off the list of all nice children on board the boat. It was a long list – it seems Wisconsin children are either nice, or have nice parents who get them on the right list :-).
Lake Michigan & the Chicago Skyline at sunset last Sunday during a short visit hosted and magnificently curated with walks, Art Institute, concerts & superb restaurants and food (thanks!) by Sam and Marissa. More from the current US visit in upcoming posts, no doubt :-).
Yet more small-wonder joy from my Brooklyn Botanic Garden visit at the end of September. I’ve so many gorgeous photos left from that glorious morning that I’m doing themes: today it’s droplets of water on petals :-). As the last post may have alerted you, I’ve recently been back to Cox’s “longest sandy beach in the world,” in fact landed back in A’dam just last night, so more of those small sandy wonders also to look forward to in our future. Happy holiday season, one and all.
