I figure the leaf was suspended in reality? It really feels in motion which is very cool.

Hey Sam – It had fallen, and got itself caught on the moss there for now at least. I’m guessing the leaves further down in the bole either managed to fall directly through, or were washed down by rain before. It does seem to float above the surface of the moss, though, doesn’t it? 🙂
