Back when my then-business job moved me from NYC to LA (more decades ago than I care to count), I came to love how easy it is to see the ‘snow line’ when you live by the ocean and have 2800 meter / 8K+-foot mountains nearby. I took this photo as our plane approached the Sierra Nevadas from the east on my ORD-SFO flight last year, from which I shared at least one past post right after the flight.
