    Osprey nest platforms? We just watched a Nature segment on them last night.

      @Maria — checked again when I biked past them on my way back from tennis today: they’re clearly purposeful platforms, so clearly for nesting of some sort. No twigs etc. left from past nests, so a) new platforms, b) humans have cleared past nests, or c) no birds have yet chosen to nest here.
