Found objects as a series was spurred by manufactured items washed on the shores of Lake Ohrid, when Steve & I were there last May. I enjoy my categories, and I hope you do also: they get me out the door and they help me organize these post, amongst other benefits. With this series, I figured I’d mostly looking at the detritus of human consumption and manufacture, littering our planet in visually interesting and environmentally problematic ways. In that sense, this is a successor series to my short lived “Errant Masks” peak-covid series. These goats, hanging out on the picnic table at one of the two petting zoos in parks to the east and west of me here, caught my eye. They’re the ‘out of scope’ example, in this post. Goats, as living entities, are not in my view ‘objects,’ though you may find me disagreeing with myself later, if I photograph some well-dressed dog who is clearly the object of their human’s affection. 🙂 The gallery below gives “in scope” examples, all from my same shopping & photo stroll last Sunday.
