Some views of late-summer dawn over Gosport Harbor, taken from Star Island and showing both Cedar Island and a part of Smuttynose Island as well. A small celebration of the fact that at home in northern Europe, we’ve nearly reached that yearly solstice corner where the number of minutes each day on which the sun is above our horizon will start increasing again, for the next six months at least 🙂
I had every intention of getting back to photograph these lovely alleys of trees a bit later as the color of the leaves advanced further. Then we had weeks of rain that detracted from trying to take photos along with knocking off all the leaves. Oh, well – next year.
Sculpture in that previously mentioned “Parc Royal” of Brussels. Sits right next to the actual royal palace, but I didn’t manage to get over there for a shot of it. Sorry…next time?
Look closely and you’ll see these two photos were taken in the same park, looking in different directions: above, looking back at KL’s iconic Petronas Towers; below, looking at the Christmas Tree from behind the towers, looking out at the park. (Tip: look in the water.)
As noted a few posts ago, I’ve been traveling again for work, thus a new photo of Penang Hill (of which we showed you lots and lots in posts from my last visit) as seen, this time, from the air as we approached our landing at Penang Int’l Airport on Tuesday evening two weeks ago, already. This photo taken, as it happens, more or less precisely three weeks after the photo in yesterday’s post, of different mountains on a different island off a different continent. And you wonder why my head gets mixed up sometimes…
