Islands.42

As you’ll have deduced, I recently spent several days exploring a few corners of Ireland, which certainly lives up to its “Emerald Isle” handle based on what I’ve seen so far. This means my over-abundance of photos to share with you has grown more, so I’ve decided I need to post more of the shots left from that glorious late-summer week on Star Island nearly three months ago. For this post, I hope / think I’ve managed to include all the shots which include the island with the lighthouse, which the map tells me is White Island State Historic Site.

City Lights.42

So I took all the photos in this post on one early-October stroll around my neighboring park at the end of a desk-heavy work-from-home day. Not long after I’d realized I could start splurging my “city lights” photos because I was entering the season where Urban Garden entries would be harder to find than City Lights ones would. 🙂

Village Views.62

We’re back on that August vacation, here back to the little seasonal village of Star Island.

Signs of the City.72

Recent strolls in the neighborhood have given me cause to revive this long-neglected, first-ever series. The taller, square building in the top right corner of the photo, to the left of the sign saying it’s not an official beach and swim at your own risk, is home for now.

Inishmore Island, County Galway, Republic of Ireland, yesterday. Landed early Monday, flying back on Saturday, exploring the island with Nikos in the driver’s seat and me taking so far way too many photos. But the weather forecast is rainier the next several days, so…we shall see how often the camera comes out.
